Haim Vasquez
Immigration Attorney (Firm Founder)
Haim Vasquez is an immigration attorney and the founder of Haim Vasquez Immigration Law, PLLC, based in Irving, Texas. Born and raised in Colombia, he immigrated to the United States with his family in 1999. He is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish.
Mr. Vasquez earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, magna cum laude, from the University of North Texas, and his Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. During law school, he was selected for the Moot Court Staff, served on the board of the Public Interest Law Group, and participated in the Employment Law Clinic.
Before opening his own practice, Mr. Vasquez worked at one of the most prestigious immigration law firms in the United States and served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. In that role, he also served as the Hispanic Community Liaison, working to build relationships and address issues affecting the Hispanic community across Dallas County. He is also an alumnus of the Leadership Irving-Las Colinas Class of 2013–2014.
Mr. Vasquez is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and handles immigration matters nationwide. His practice includes family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), asylum, and complex cases involving criminal histories. He also provides representation in immigration court, including removal defense and bond proceedings.
In addition to his legal work, Mr. Vasquez is a frequent contributor to public dialogue on immigration. He regularly collaborates with local, national, and international media outlets to provide legal insight on immigration issues and breaking policy developments. He also engages with the community through educational workshops, outreach events, and social media. Mr. Vasquez actively works alongside foreign consulates, faith-based organizations, and community groups throughout the region to expand access to reliable immigration information and legal support.
Demonstrating his commitment to supporting immigrant youth, Mr. Vasquez established the Haim Vasquez Newcomer Scholarship, awarded annually to students who have recently arrived in the United States and are enrolled in the Irving Independent School District (ISD). The scholarship aims to recognize resilience and promote academic achievement among newcomer students.
In recognition of his impactful work, Mr. Vasquez was honored in 2024 with the Hispanic Business Salute Award, presented by NBC5, Telemundo 39, UPS, and the Dallas Cowboys. This prestigious award celebrates Hispanic leaders in North Texas who have made significant contributions to their communities through innovation, entrepreneurship, and service.
